Whether you’re looking to become a certified lifeguard or gain essential CPR/First Aid/AED training, the BGC of Newport County offers comprehensive courses designed to equip you with life-saving skills. These trainings are open to the community and led by certified American Red Cross instructors.

Lifeguard & CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Courses – Open to the Community!


The American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course is designed for individuals who want to become professional lifeguards. Whether you’re new to the role or need to re-certify, this course provides everything you need to work as a lifeguard with confidence.

The class will meet for a total of 6 days, on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
