Aquatics

Our aquatic programs are designed for children and teens of all skill levels—from beginners learning the basics to experienced swimmers building strength and technique. With a wide variety of lessons and training opportunities, we make it easy for youth to gain confidence, stay active, and enjoy the water safely.

Note: While our adult programs are on pause during the 2025–2026 season due to main pool construction, they will return once renovations are complete. In the meantime, we remain dedicated to providing high-quality, safe, and engaging youth aquatic experiences.

Pool access for all

Do you know someone who wants to stay physically active but is challenged by mobility issues?
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County’s new portable pool chair lift, funded by the Newport County Fund, provides people of all ages a safe and comfortable way to enter and exit the pool in either the deep end or shallow end. From there, individuals can take advantage of swim lessons, lap swimming or any of the other Aquatics programs that the Club has to offer.

Its addition completes access to the pool facility for wheelchair-bound individuals, as there is a ramp entrance that leads directly into the pool area from the Club’s parking lot on Mill Street, and the men’s and women’s locker rooms off the pool deck feature wheelchair-friendly toilets, sinks and showers.

To learn more about our pool chair lift, read the official press release published by What’s Up New below.
