Joseph Pratt
Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer

Joe joined the Club in January 2014 from the Office of the Rhode Island General Treasurer, Gina Raimondo, where he was Deputy Treasurer and Chief of Administration. Prior to Treasury, he was a senior public affairs professional with Fidelity Investments, and worked for Bryant University and United Way of Rhode Island. He brings a wealth of experience in the public and private sector developing successful community partnerships, building philanthropic support and leading transformational change. Joe resides in Newport with his wife, Lesley, and their three sons who attend the Newport Public Schools. He is a graduate of Providence College and a proud alumni of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County.

Joe Tomchak joined the BGC Newport team in October of 2015 as the Assistant Executive Director. Prior to Boys and Girls Newport Joe worked as the Director of Program Services and Outreach for BGC Pawtucket. Joe obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Providence College in Public and Community Services as well as in Sociology. He grew up in Middletown, New Jersey. Joe is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, going to the beach and running. He currently lives in Rumford, RI and is happily married with a 20-month-old son. 

Christopher Perrotti

Chris Perrotti joined the team in the fall of 2016 as the Director of Operations. He is an accomplished senior manager in the hospitality, special events and consumer industry and has received numerous awards and designations. His early career was spent developing and growing the Newport Yachting Center in Newport’s downtown historic waterfront. He later served as a senior manager in a number of different companies using what he learned about customer service, the importance of working with the local community and just plain hard work to help these companies grow and become prosperous. Chris is a realtor with Century 21. He holds Bachelors of Arts Degrees in Religious Studies and Psychology from Salve Regina University and an Executive Certificate of Entrepreneurship from Babson College. Chris is married with three children and is passionate about the time he spends with them. However, just as important, Chris has learned that he loves working with and for people and has been known to go above and beyond to make customers happy.
Jake Crowell
Director of Camp & Rentals

Jake joined the BGC team in February of 2016 as the Director of Camp and Rentals. He grew up in East Providence and graduated from East Providence High School in 2008. From there he attended the University of Rhode Island where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. Prior to working at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County he worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pawtucket for 10 years as a Supervisor at 
Camp Ramsbottom and Rentals Coordinator. In his free time Jake is an avid outdoorsman and loves to listen to music. Currently Jake lives on the Camp Grosvenor grounds. 

Lauren Day

Lauren has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club team since November 2010. During her time here, she has overseen Saturday programming, the North End Clubhouse and Camp Grosvenor. She is now the Director of Programs overseeing all youth programming at the Club. Lauren received her degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a focus in child settings and minored in Spanish at the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, Lauren was on the Women’s Rowing Team for three years. She is originally from New Jersey, but fell in love with Rhode Island during her time at URI. Lauren loves to spend time with her family during her free time.

Nate joined the club in December 2016. He comes with over 5 years of experience working within another Rhode Island Boys & Girls Club and brings smiles and laughter to wherever he is. Nate has a Bachelors degree in English Literature from URI, some formal education in the area of education psychology, and is currently finishing his Masters Degree of Public Administration at URI. Nate lives a very active lifestyle and always seems to be up to something. His goal every day is to make the world a better place to live in.

Michelle DosSantos
Drop In Program Coordinator

Michelle Dossantos joined the team at the end of Summer 2016 as our 
Drop in Program Coordinator. Michelle will work closely with theDrop In Program Director to plan and implement programs and address behavioral issues. Since 2012, Michelle worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket as a counselor for Central Club programming, the Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative and Camp Ramsbottom. In 2014, she took responsibility as a Supervisor providing oversight, management and support to all 3rd – 5th grade students and 6-10 staff members.   

Catherine Mureddu

Catherine started in April 2014 as Events Manager. She has 14 years of fundraising and marketing experience and 10 years of experience working in customer-service/hospitality-related industries. She spent 13 years at Salve Regina University, most recently as their Assistant Director of Development for Fundraising Events. Catherine was promoted in July 2014 to Director of Marketing & Events where she continues to manage event activities as well as marketing and communications. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island and an M.A. in Human Resources Management from Salve Regina University.   
Orlando Peace
Drop In Program Director

Orlando joined the team in the summer of 2016 and will oversee programming and staff at both the Central Clubhouse and Florence Gray Center. He previously worked as a Classroom Behavior Specialist with the Bradley School in New London, Connecticut. He was a Therapeutic Mentor for the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and was the Head Facilitator for Heavy Hitters, an after school mentoring program for at risk youth, which used fitness training and boxing to improve behavior and foster a healthy and conscientious lifestyle. 

Anne Weeks

Anne joined the Boys & Girls Club of Newport county in February of 2017. Anne comes to us from the Valley Shore YMCA in CT. She graduated from St. Joseph's College in West Hartford, CT with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition where she swam collegiately. She will have oversight of all of our Aquatics Programs, including lessons and the swim team. 

Erin Wood

Erin joined our team in April 2014. She received a B.S. in Health Education with a concentration in Community Health from Rhode Island College. Erin came to us from The Special Events Department at The Preservation Society of Newport County. Prior to that,  she had an internship at The New Bedford Recreation Department, and 7 years experience working for The Newport Recreation Department. Erin coached girls basketball at Thompson Middle School and continues to coach at Rogers High School. She lives in Newport and enjoys playing golf.

Lyn Wooten

Lyn started with the Club in March 2010 as Administrative Assistant. In 2011, Lyn became the Club's Executive Assistant, responsible to the Director and overseeing the Front Office. She works to support all the Club Staff and activities as needed. Lyn lives in Portsmouth, RI with her husband of 40 years. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.
